Control groups

Answering questions about the effectiveness of delinquency prevention and intervention programs requires the most rigorous evaluation design possible. An experimental design with random assignment of youth into participant and control groups, the design that best allows for testing whether the program "causes" changes in participants, was originally planned for this evaluation.
