Findings

These findings were supported by focus group data from the nine participants interviewed at the 19-month followup. These youth said the program taught them self-respect, ways to get along with others and work in a team environment, and, especially, the importance of taking responsibility for their actions. In addition, they said the program helped them recognize their talents and?most important?opened their eyes to opportunities and career options.
